Rosa María Koechlin nació el 14 de Enero de 1949. Luego de sus estudios profesionales en Sociología y bajo la influencia de famosos artistas Sudamericanos, especialmente peruanos, en 1977 volviose una entusiasta aritista autodidacta en el tallado de madera. Inspirada en la sociedad peruana de la colonia por medio de muchas famosas pinturas de estos tiempos, produjo 40 obras talladas en mader, muchas de ellas adquiridas por coleccionistas de Europa y EEUU. Desde 1984 ha sido frecuentemente invitada a eventos internacionales para exponer su arte.

Rosa María Koechkin, was born in Lima in January 14th of the 1949. After her profesional studies in Sociology and under the influence of famous south american artists, specially peruvians, she became in 1977 an enthusiastic self teaching artists in wood carving technic. Inspire in the peruvian colonial society through very famous paintings from this times, she produce 40 artistic wood carving pieces, most of them adquired by collectionist from Europe and the United States. From 1984th up to date , she is frecuently invited to International events to expose her art.
